Job description
Educational or experience requirements:
ME/BE (Chemical Engineering) with minimum 10 – 18 years of Experience. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Shall utilize the engineering skills and knowledge to meet business goals and objectives, and drive the continuous improvement activities. 2. Shall participate in development of department procedures, standards, training manuals and work instructions. 3. Impart awareness of process involved in FPSO to team members as when required. 4. Shall prepare and/check in process calculations such as: a) Heat and material balance b) Pressure drop calculations c) Steady state simulations using HYSYS for i. Gas conditioning units ii. Well and well gathering Stations iii. Crude separation iv. Glycol Regeneration units v. Pumps and gas compressors vi. Hydraulic calculations using software for Pumps, pipelines and gas lines vii. Pipelines and gas lines 5. Shall design the equipment & sizing such as pumps , separator ,control and choke valves, vessels, heat exchanges, column etc. 6. Relief valve sizing and selection, and its inlet & outlet lines. 7. Shall responsible for preparation of following deliverables and guide the Engineers to prepare: a) Basic of design b) Process specification and operating philosophy for the pumps, compressors, separators, tanks, filters, relief valve, control valves, pipelines etc. c) Process specification of package units such as; Regeneration units, gas compression, instrument air compression, sea water filter and flotation units etc. d) Commissioning manual e) Work instruction manual f) Work instruction/operating manual g) Fire and blow down philosophy 8. Shall responsible for preparation, checking and controlling of the following engineering drawings: a) Process flow diagrams (PFS) b) P & IDs/ Process engineering flowcharts (PEFS) c) Hazardous area clarification drawing (HAC) d) Flare and blow down studies e) Plot plans, general arrangement drawings and isometrics f) Cause and effect diagrams g) PDMs models 9. Attending meetings to understand the scope of work and for the review of progress. 10. He shall visit sites to collect the necessary data required for the equipment sizing and for necessary commissioning support.Job tags
