Role - Validation Engineer
Location - Noida Experience - 4-7 Years This position is for a Validation Senior Engineer. The position requires Executing Product Validation & Testing of software applications and hardware designed for Power Plant Control, Optimization and Simulation, in a fully assembled system environment. The testing performed from various perspectives – System Performance, Basic Functionality, Compatibility etc. The successful candidate will work as part of a global multi-cultural team. Responsibilities: • Actively participate for testing of DCS product components (software & hardware) by following Test Cycle-Smoke, First Pass & Regression Testing • Developing test plans, test scenarios and test cases • Maintain product quality testing within agreed schedule. • Posting issues; debugging and recreating reported problems • Designing and evaluating software testing data • Developing test scripts and configurations • Collecting and analyzing test results and software quality measurements • Preparing Test procedure from Functional Specifications • Continuous development of skillset on DCS product components • Participation on Technology lab maintenance and improvements • System setups Required skills and experience: • Experience in Validation testing • Working experience in DCS and its supported software such as OPC, Data Analytics, Historian, Advance Algorithms, Cybersecurity solutions, Third party protocols, etc. • Knowledge of discrete and continuous Controllers, HMI, bus technologies and field instrumentation • Basic networking • Knowledge on automation • Experience in Writing test cases for simple enhancements • Knowledge of Installation and configuration of product components for Security solutions • Experience using Windows operating systems • Experience in Installation of Windows OS, Drivers, and Microsoft Patches • Knowledge of the MS-Office or O365 tools • Good verbal and written communication in English • Graduate of BE/BTech Engineering course (Instrumentation, EE, ECE, Power) Advantages: • Experience in configuring or operating DCS, DCS setup including Hardware (Controllers, basic I/O modules etc.) and Software, PLC, or SCADA • Knowledge of testing life cycle • ISTQB certificate at Foundation level • Knowledge on virtualization/VM ware • Familiarity with one or more of the following industries: Power Generation, Water / Wastewater, Hydrocarbon Processing, Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper, Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceutical or Food and Beverage • Experience in C/C++/C#/.NET, VMware, Crystal Reports, Communication Protocols etc. • Experience in engineering, configuration, and start-up of process control systems • Participated in activities such as maintenance, hardware mounting, hardware maintenance, network rack planning & dressing, tagging of hardware equipment, etc.Job tags
