Communications is at the core of Sangoma's mission, and the DevOps team supports a critical product for Sangoma and its customers.
Your Role: - Works as a member of the DevOps/Linux team at Sangoma Bangalore.
- Maintain and improve Sangoma's custom Linux distribution based on Debian/CentOS.
- Manage Jenkins to take care of Debian or CentOS-based packages/RPMs .
- Keep security in mind and ensure all our servers are up to date with security patches.
- Keep custom Debian/CentOs RPMs up to date and in sync with upstream Debian/RHEL based distro releases.
- Tests and debugs install or other related issues with SNG (Sangoma's custom Linux distribution).
Your Background: - Strong experience in building Debian (apt) or CentOS (yum/rpm) packages.
- Good understanding of Ansible, Docker. Should be able to build the docker image and deploy via Ansible.
- Experience with APT, RPM, YUM, YUM repository management.
- Familiarity with Jenkins builder.
- Strong Linux experience (command line tools – coreutils)
- Serial console
- Linux boot experience (GRUB, EFI, and BIOS)
- Troubleshooting system services (systemd)
- Experience with git and git based development workflows.
- Additional experience desired: Asterisk, Docker, Ansible
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence).
- Strong verbal and written English language skills are essential.
