Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an OHL Construction Engineer. The OHL Construction Engineer will be responsible for construction of overhead lines (OHL) with the objective of creating safe and efficient power transmission systems. The OHL Construction Engineer will report to a project manager, and will also work with and provide guidance to a team of OHL engineers to ensure that all work is done to specification, and that installations and maintenance are executed on-time and to the highest quality standards. This role is located in Malappuram.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in OHL installation and maintenance projects
• Extensive experience in reading and interpreting OHL design drawings and specifications, and in conducting, interpreting and utilizing survey data for OHL design and construction
• Demonstrated skill and proficiency in conducting OHL assembly and installation, in conducting line testing, and diagnosing and correcting faulty installations and transmission systems
• Proven ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship in OHL construction projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to liaise and build relationships with stakeholders including clients and other project team members
• Demonstrated skill and experience in managing all aspects of OHL construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, labor-management, and project tracking and reporting. In-depth experience in OHL quality standards and procedures, including environmental health and safety, and inclination to abide by them.
