Job description

The world loves Postgres. If you work with developers or data scientists or anyone wrangling data, you’ll probably see a sticker with the tusks and trunk of the Postgres elephant on the lid of a nearby laptop. EDB has a lot to do with that. We’ve been major contributors to Postgres since the beginning, and we are proud to call thousands of boundary pushing customers our partners. Proud though we are, we are not resting on our laurels. There’s plenty of work to do. The good news is that everything we do will impact Postgres, which is to say that it will impact the world. No pressure.

What your impact will be: Responsible for all Inbound leads and Inquiries Identify new initiatives and projects in existing Strategic and Enterprise customers. Prospect into targeted accounts to identify initiatives and valuable contacts, then qualify and set appointments for the field sales team. Communicate to leads via phone and email daily and track productivity daily in Salesforce. Call and email on Enterprise and Government lead when required. Maintain and update Salesforce.com Lead and Contact records, and create new Accounts and Opportunities.

What you will bring: 2+ years of experience preferred in corporate sales or related experience A degree in business management or marketing is preferred. An aspiration to grow a long-term career in sales Responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. You listen and adjust. Familiar with the high-tech industry and some of the main players. Excellent personal and communication skills. Comfortable speaking on the phone and can write professional emails to prospects. Interest in the high-tech market and learning the open-source community Goal-oriented with the ability to complete individual goals as well as work in a team environment. Can multi-task and be organized: calls, emails, record management and new assignments An enthusiastic learner who will embrace new product and sales information and guidance from the sales team.
