Job description
The jobholder (2 years contract) supports the Future Ready department in its efforts to help youth in secondary and post-secondary education become resilient and future ready. The jobholder is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the department's financial schemes and initiatives.
The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work on some weekends, weeknights, and public holidays to support organisation events as required.
Key Responsibility Areas Strategic and Partnership Management - Keep abreast of education. employment and youth issues and trends at community, national and global levels.
- Work with partners in implementing key Future Ready initiatives.
- Support the department in representing the organisation in joint committees (such as M3@Town) and contribute to nation-wide initiatives.
- Support the department in identifying and networking with potential and existing partners.
Educational Schemes Management - Support the administration process and disbursement of Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS) and study loans to Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) students.
- Consolidating & analysing data of TTFS and Student Loan beneficiaries as part of scheme management
Event Management - Organise the YOUTH@M3 Town events for TTFS and Student Loan beneficiaries. Assists in the organization of resources, manpower and collaterals for the successful delivery of events.
- Assists in other key Future Ready initiatives for Malay/Muslim youth such as Future of Series, and NextStop Seminar.
Administrative - Update and generate departmental progress reports for updates to the management
Requirements - 2 – 3 years of experience in programme management or youth engagement preferred.
- A degree in relevant fields preferred.
- Good understanding of youth, education, and employment landscapes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
- Able to communicate persuasively.
- Able to engage with youths.
- Possess strong leadership skills and sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
