Target and scope of the position Application support as well as product technical support (material tests) in Industry & Automotive Market fields, in accordance with the guiding principle of Corporate System Engineering. Customer support and technical assistance in the application of Sika products.
System Engineering strives for innovative and customer-specific solutions that will lead to higher market shares and recognition as a professional partner.
Duties And Responsibilities - Advising customers in selection and setup of processing equipment for Sika products.
- Investigate optimum or advanced process parameters and system setups for processing Sika products
- Carry out or accompany feasibility studies and prototyping.
Job Description - Developing improvements/adaptions of standard equipment to provide unique or unrivaled system solutions to our customers.
- Assessing the suitability of equipment for Sika materials or the feasibility of planned application technology.
- Investigate the influences of the processing system to new or existing material.
- Create guidelines, processing instructions, specifications, recommendations and test/trial reports.
- Providing feedback and findings to internal partners for material development (TS, R&D and marketing).
- Support and attend line trials and material changes at the customer's production site. On-site support may require work assignment during weekends or production downtimes overnight.
- Support and attend material tests and equipment tests at the equipment supplier.
- Distribute the know-how to our internals, the System Engineers network within Sika and other interest groups.
- Supporting and networking with equipment supplier and or other engineering partners
- Training of customers and internal employees in application technology
- Know-how of problem solving techniques
Qualifications/Experience - BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of work experience in Application Engineering/ Aadhesive & Sealants dispensing equipments or in relevant industry.
- Familiarity within the speciality Chemical, Polymers, Elastomers, Adhesives, Sealant in Industrial and Automotive markets is mandatory.
