Job description

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounting (including exposure to UK and US standards), with a proven track record of leadership in a growing, fast-paced environment. The candidate would be responsible for leading and owning the Finance function i.e. owning all aspects of Finance including accounting, finance control as well as receivables and payables management. The role presents an opportunity to grow the finance team at the firm.

Key Responsibilities

: Financial control Develop a financial strategy that supports the company's objectives, focusing on sustainable growth and profitability Develop and implement strategies to enhance cash flow efficiency and mitigate financial risks Prepare and submit the annual budget, manage expenditures against the budget, and ensure that provisions are made for accruals to ensure adequate cover Control processes on all costs/expenses in terms of per procurement process, contract compliance, etc. Drive the overall financial planning including liquidity management, investments, and FX management Work with the accounting teams in the UK, and the US for finance-related matters Management of the accounting function Assist with coordination and management of the accounting function Assist with the analysis and preparation of several financial reports and ensure the distribution and presentation of this information at the relevant forums Advocating and advancing, best practice processes and controls, covering the data and applications within our Finance ecosystem Ensure accurate and timely MIS / financial reporting to partners and investors Own the preparation and submission of all regulatory authority reporting including for any GST, tax, legal, or other similar matters Contracts Management and Client Invoicing Work with sales and legal teams to hold all contracts together from a financing/revenue recognition perspective, post deal-execution Liaise with legal for any extensions, and amendments in the contracts working closely with the sales team Support the client invoicing across New, Change, RFP events, providing inputs, and invoicing subject matter expertise Review draft contractual agreements with consideration to invoicing operational and risk supportability Work directly with the S&M and functional teams to understand and manage the Invoicing process end to end i.e. invoicing generation to account receivables maintenance Enterprising Leadership Lead the Finance function and build a strong cohesive team for the Finance function Deeply understanding Finance operating processes and steering a culture of innovation process automation Maintain effective and cordial relations with various stakeholders

Required Experience/Skill Set: Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field A minimum of 12+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a startup Operational excellence with a preference of demonstrated ability in Invoicing including Performance and Management Fees Willingness to work at a high level of intensity; we’re a fast-growing business Thorough knowledge of Working Capital Management, AR and AP, MIS, Audits, and Compliance Strong knowledge and experience of finance and accounting principles, including financial, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, and analytical skills Professional, positive, collegial demeanor; collaborative relationship builder who contributes skills and knowledge to the larger team Strong experience in US and UK accounting and understanding of transfer pricing mechanisms Strong work ethic with a high sense of accountability and ownership
