Lead, Tech/Network Engineer - Systems
In this role, you’ll work on designing, implementing, and managing the firm's networking infrastructure in collaboration with other IT Infrastructure teams. You’ll also be involved in engineering project work and tier 2/3 operational support to increase the overall supportability and reliability of the firm's enterprise technology environment. You’ll be responsible for upgrading and/or re-designing existing infrastructure for improved performance and stability, handling L2/L3 escalations from Helpdesk/NOC, and proactively identifying and fixing issues in the production environment. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: − The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering or similar discipline, with at least five years of work experience in the networking domain − The candidate should have a robust understanding of networking fundamentals (CISCO, Palo Alto, Arista, or other similar vendors), TCP/IP Stack, switching and routing, tooling, and automation − Candidate should be proficient in one or more programming languages like Python, Java, GoLang, etc. − The candidate should be familiar with common enterprise and datacenter networking devices as well as security and management tools. Knowledge of software-defined networking protocols and solutions would be an advantage. − The ideal candidate should have previous experience in design and end-to-end implementation of performant, reliable, and secure network systems. − Candidate should have good troubleshooting capabilities and experience with diagnostic/tracing tools on endpoint devices (e.g., Linux and/or Windows) and vendor network devices − The ideal candidate should also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsJob tags
