Job description
Stellantis is in the process of transformation from a legacy automotive to a tech mobility company. This transformation requires top talent in software development to create the platforms that the new Stellantis vehicles will be built on. The Connected Services organization in Stellantis is working to build these platforms, enabling remote operations and features that will allow any device to communicate remotely. Connected Services will enable new experiences that will convert automobiles into mobile digital hubs and enrich the driving experience.
As a Software Development Manager, you will manage a team of software developers to design, implement, validate, deploy and maintain software features in these platforms. You will collaborate with key stakeholders in Product management, Planning and Customer Support and Operations to ensure your features serve our internal and external customer needs. You will be part of a team that owns a platform that will be used by other software teams to build end customer experiences such as remote start. A successful candidate will have experience in management of software developers, project management, DevOps, CI/CD, API design, and releasing complex, large scale applications used by hundreds of users simultaneously. Key job responsibilities - Recruit, manage and lead a team of software development engineers to build, support and maintain software delivery platforms. - Work directly with internal customers to intake and prioritize their requirements. - Model best practices in DevOps and continuous delivery in the software they build. - Guide the direction of development of the platform in collaboration with Product Managers. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations (with remote work within the country possible): Spain, India, US, Brazil Basic qualifications - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 8+ years of engineering experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product and program management teams Preferred qualifications - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - DevOps, CI/CD, Observability.
