Job Description:
Position Overview:
As an HVAC Drafter at SG Technofab, you will play a vital role in the design and drafting process of HVAC systems. You will work closely with our engineering and project management teams to create accurate and detailed drawings and plans that meet project specifications and industry standards. Your work will directly impact the success of our HVAC projects and ensure efficient installation and operation of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft HVAC Plans: Create detailed HVAC plans, schematics, and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and design objectives.
- Material and Equipment Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate HVAC equipment, materials, and components based on project specifications and energy efficiency considerations.
- Quality Assurance: Review and check HVAC drawings for errors, inconsistencies, and compliance with industry standards, making necessary revisions as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all HVAC drawings and documentation, ensuring that they are up-to-date and readily accessible to the project team.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address design-related queries and provide clarifications as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in HVAC codes and standards to enhance drafting skills and contribute to the company's growth.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Drafter or similar role in the HVAC industry.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and terminology.
- Understanding of local building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
