Job description
A proposal writer is responsible for gathering information, formatting each proposal according to company guidelines, and obtaining approval before sending proposals out to sources. You must have excellent organizational skills, work well under deadlines, and be able to communicate effectively in writing. The perfect candidate for this position cares about facts and details as well as writing in a convincing manner.
Responsibilities
Attend kickoff meetings to determine project scope
Help create project schedules and deadlines
Conduct research and analysis on the project topic and target audience
Edit documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Incorporate feedback and revisions from stakeholders and reviewers
Collaborate with graphic designers during layout and design
Present proposals to potential investors and business partners
Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree in journalism, English, mass communications, or a related field. You should have at least 3 years of experience in writing proposals, grants, or similar documents for various industries and sectors. You should also have a portfolio of previous work samples that demonstrate your writing skills and abilities. Working with US based customers is an added advantage.

Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral
Solid background in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other relevant software and tools
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team
Ability to work on tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Westernized thinking and cultural alignment are preferred
Preferred qualifications8+ years of prior relevant experience in proposal writing or a similar role
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to persuade and influence others
Knowledge of best practices and trends in proposal writing and design
Certification or training in proposal writing or related fields
