Job description
Inspire, lead and grow a team of Software Engineers, Technical Leads, Architects, DevOps & Engineering Managers ● Understand business goals through working closely with Co CEO, CTO & CPO ● Manage product milestones, deployment cycles & overall product roadmap ● Focus on resolving client queries within SLA ● Technical Leadership for product and across all engineering requirements ● Maintain Code Quality, Implement Standards & improve overall understanding ● Continuously improve and drive best practices around software engineering ● Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community. ● Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organisation, and diversity. ● Recruit and develop engineers and engineering managers and help them advance in their career ● Head the Noida office ensuring a great employees’ experience and engagement, with the help of the HR team and the heads of functions of the other teams present in Noida (customer care, product) and oversee all office related topics (working conditions, attendance, events, branding of the company on India market…) ● Embody the company's values, lead by example and maintain our outstanding working culture based on trust, empowerment and supportive leadership ● Adopt a servant leadership mentality, which includes active listening, empathy, healer, awareness, persuasion, foresight, conceptualization, stewardship, commitment to growth and community building ● Coach managers to help them grow in their role and to take higher responsibilities to ensure an efficient growth of the company, and encourage them to coach their team members The Successful Applicant ● At least 10+ yrs of experience in product based organisations with web technologies (GoLang, MongoDB, Kafka, NodeJS, ReactJS, Python) A solid experience of international working environment and culture, including a working period in managerial role(s) in a foreign country, in North America or Europe ● Ability to work efficiently in multicultural environment and with remote teams ● Experience in working with startups will be an added advantage ● Full stack development experience ● Currently in a Senior Director/Senior Engineering Manager/VP role ● Ability to attract and hire the right kind of talent for the team ● Openness to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies/ industry trends ● Excellent team-building and team-management skills - open-mindedness to understand their followers’ motivations, hopes, and problems so that the team can forge a deep personal connection with you. ● Excellent communication skills
