Job description
Senior ServiceNow Certified Developer
- Responsible for the technical specification and implementation of the Snow integration
- Develops the technical solutions, implements them and performs the component integration tests
- Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes, and build this into the design
- Develop and Optimize customizations such as building workflows/Flows, importing data, integrating with external data sources via API's and scripting, customizing the screens, forms, and lists, building reports and dashboards, configuring groups, and role access.
- Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and Configure Workflow
- Ensure the latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
- Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/production environment that is reliable and reproducible
- Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, stage, testing, sandbox, and production environments
- Hands-on experience in implementing discovery, ITSM CMDB, dashboards & event management as per the best practice.
- Good knowledge of writing business rules, UI policies, UI actions & flow designer.
- Customer workshop & requirement gathering for configuration of service map in CMDB.
- Knowledge of Event Management from scratch for SCOM & Micro Focus integrations, alert & event correlations, event lifecycle & custom workflow designer rules.
- Should be able to Configure alert grouping based on CMDB, relationship & custom rules.
- Experience on Importing data - creating import sets, transformation map and data load.
- Hands on experience in Email Integration, ETL, External Web services Integration (both SOAP and REST based) in ServiceNow.
- Experience of the software development lifecycle the roles and responsibilities on large projects and the motivations of the actors involved.
- Worked in Traditional life cycles as well as in Agile methodologies. Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM)and ITIL business process.
- Defining analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the program and the preferred methodology of the organization.
- Facing off to one or many business areas understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary.
- Working independently to elicit validate and document systems requirements in either Business Requirement Documents or user feature stories.
- Participating in the design process from design approval to functional design completion to ensure the functionality benefits envisaged are delivered.
- Experience of working in multiple large scale change programs
- Proficiency in the usage of the underpinning frameworks and tools for business analysis documentation eg: UML
- Translate your recommendations to senior leadership to gain agreement, affect change and influence long term digital strategies
- Build proofs-of-concept (POC) for potential new solutions and technologies by working with product management and engineering teams
