Job Profile - Team Lead – Community Empowerment Program

Nature - Contractual (for initial period of 12 months, continuity is subject to performance and continuity of the project)

Abhivyakti Foundation (AVF) is a non profit trust with its coordination office located in Giridih, Jharkhand. AVF has emerged as a passionate group of inspired and highly motivated professionals and grassroot workers with self-drive. Our mission is to aware people and mobilize self-initiatives based on local available resources for sustainable development and right balance over generations. Our interventions revolved around key activities in the field of education and life-skills, health & nutrition, sustainable agriculture & livelihood, sustainable food systems and strengthening capacity of local institutions.

 

About the Program –

The community empowerment program (CEP-CESAM) facilitates community based development in the areas of education, health & nutrition, livelihood, access to social security schemes and child protection in a multi-stakeholder collaboration. The program focus on dhibra (mica) dependent communities as direct beneficiaries of the program with a self help approach.

 

Roles and responsibilities

To anchor the project, manage the team, and ensure the smooth execution of all program activities in accordance with the timeline.

Develop comprehensive project plan with clear timelines, resource allocations and ensure progress of the project in line with the project charter. 

Work closely with the field team(s) and provide them back office support, guidance and mentor them to achieve project deliverables.

Assess capacity development needs of the field team(s) and plan & implement training activities for their capacity development.

Plan and implement robust monitoring system with the MnE Coordinator and Field team(s) for a clear reporting and real time data collection and monitoring process reflecting on dashboard.

Work closely with the Manager finance on budgeting, financial progress and control systems.

Coordinate with different stakeholders and build effective collaborations & synergy towards the project goal and objectives.

Prepare timely narrative and M&E reports at quarterly intervals for sharing with the organsation and donors.

Develop communication plan and materials including case studies, factsheets and infographics for sharing with relevant audience.

 

Qualification

Masters degree in social work, rural development, business administration or any relevant stream

Work Experience

7 years of work experience of program management in a multi-stakeholder environment

 

Mindset

Ability to solve problems – empathically, creatively and strategically.

Regular planning and evaluation within and with the team.

Skill set

Proficiency in MS Office (MS word, excel, power point)

Knowledge of Google suite, apps and platforms

Good communication and presentation skills

Facilitation skills

 

Salary – Negotiable, commensurate to qualification and experience.
