Silverline Fertilisers Private Limited was founded in 2014 with a mission to introduce sustainable farming models and solutions while improving the livelihoods of farmers in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The company supplies non-subsidised alternate fertilisers to farmers through a growing distribution network of wholesalers, retailers, and government-owned PACCS. Silverline Fertilisers is headquartered in Chennai and operates a factory at Tuticorin with a large production and storage capacity. The company's product portfolio includes a wide range of fertilisers, including Rock Phosphate, PROM, NPK, and more.

Role Description

The Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the sales team in the Vellore zone, which includes overseeing their day-to-day activities, providing guidance, and tracking their progress against sales targets. Additionally, the Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for forecasting sales and developing strategies to meet targets. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Vellore.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong sales forecasting and budgeting skills
  • Experience in the fertiliser industry or related field
  • Understanding of farming practices and knowledge of crops and fertilisers
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience with supply chain management and distribution, knowledge of local regulations and policies related to fertilisers, and proficiency in relevant software and tools such as MS Excel and CRM systems.
