Job description

We are currently hiring Finance Head with experience in Real estate or Fintech Industry for our B2B client based out in Bangalore.

Job Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy and Planning

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for effective decision-making.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes to drive financial discipline and accountability.

• Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and risk mitigation. 2. Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and analyse accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, highlighting variances and providing insights to management.

• Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.

3. Cash Flow Management and Treasury

• Develop and implement effective cash flow management strategies to optimize working capital. • Monitor and manage liquidity, cash balances, and banking relationships.

• Evaluate and recommend appropriate financing options to support the company's growth objectives.

• Implement robust treasury controls and policies to mitigate financial risks.

4. Financial Operations and Controls

• Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

• Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

5. Team Leadership and Development

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and support professional development.

• Coach and mentor team members to enhance their financial acumen and business partnering skills.

• Foster strong cross-functional relationships and effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders. Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered accountant with proven experience (10+ years) in a senior finance role, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment.

• Knowledge of the Real Estate or Fintech industry would be an added advantage

• Proficiency in financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.

• Sound knowledge of private and corporate taxation

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across the organization.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
