Responsibilities Job Summary :- In partnership with General Inspection, to conduct independent audits of operational entities in an objective, thorough and impartial manner (as the third line of defence) and uphold the highest professional standards.
Main Responsibilities :- To assist manager in discharging duties towards Global Internal Audit, Local Management, Regulators, External Auditors and other stake holders by:
- Providing audit assurance on risks and controls, executing audits, issuance of audit reports by complying with professional auditing standards, Internal standards / tools / processes, regulatory guidelines and SG Group Policies.
- Pro-actively following up on recommendations etc.
- Conducting annual risk assessment exercise to define annual audit plan.
- MIS reporting to Management including Audit Committee etc
- Facilitate external auditors, regulators etc during their reviews / inspections.
- Work closely with local / regional / global audit teams while maintaining team spirit.
- Contribute to the overall Internal Audit strategy and projects, and its implementation by ensuring focus on quality, risks and professionalism; in particular, contributing to enriching and updating the audit methodology.
- Acquiring knowledge on activities and risks during assignments.
- Applying data analytics techniques to all types of audit work, from risk assessment and continuous monitoring to diagnostic or investigation phases.
- Staying upto date with latest market best practices and bringing in relevant practices for benchmarking, building awareness on audit practices / trends, and applying them where required.
- Keeping close watch over regulatory changes and priorities coming from head office, local regulator that potentially could impact Internal audit approach.
- Taking initiatives and participating in the continuous enhancement of the internal audit department.
- Work closely with Audit Trainees, and with other Audit Teams in Bangalore, Asia and other locations.
Required Profile required Academic Background (degree and major): - - B.Com graduate
- Chartered Accountancy (preferred)
- Certifications under RBI Capacity Building Policy (preferred)
- Any other relevant certifications in Internal Audit
Relevant Working Experience in number of years: - - 8-12 years preferably in banks in a similar function as internal audit
- Experience of working in reputed professional audit firms with exposure to financial services may also be considered.

Data analytics Skill : - Strong data analytics appetite and a good practice of data analytics tools (Osmose, Spotfire, etc.).
