About the Company and Role

SHANBHAGS is a diversified distributor of industrial pumps, motors and compressors. We represent leading Indian and international brands as their authorized distributor with a pan-India presence. Our clients includes major Indian and multinational companies in the chemical, pharma, food & beverage, and construction industries.

 

We are headquartered in Mumbai, with branch offices in Pune & Surat, and sales personnel in Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Our work is fully on-site, either in office or on the field.

 

We are looking for a qualified, experienced Senior Sales Engineer for our imported line of seal-less Magnetic-Drive pumps for the specialty chemical industry. This role would be ideally based in Mumbai or alternatively, Vadodara.

Responsibilities

  1. Business development across the country with a focus on western India. This involves generating leads and cold calls to prospects, as well as frequent travel for face-to-face meetings with customers, contractors, consultants.
  2. End-to-end sales of specialized pumping products to technical buyers / purchase teams in a competitive environment. One needs to understand the customer's requirements - which means having good knowledge of their operations and our product's advantages.
  3. Regular Go-to-Market planning keeping the long-term business objectives in mind, while also setting regular targets and undergoing periodic performance reviews.
  4. Identifying and developing new opportunities for our specialized pumps - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new channels to reach existing markets.
  5. Clear communication with the Technical Coordinators, Account/Admin team and Order Execution team as required for business operations.

Requirements

  1. Degree Engineers in Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical discipline with 10-12 years sales experience in pumps for the process / chemical industry. Prior experience with Mag-Drive pumps or even Mechanical Seals is preferred.
  2. Experience with handling complex customers like technical consultants, PSUs and large corporates.
  3. Experience handling drawings and documentation for technical products and services.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) as well as Google Suite (email, calendar, etc.). Willingness to learn and use new computer applications like CRM tools, customers' vendor portals, etc.
  5. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the state; own 2-wheeler preferred.
  6. Fluency in English, Hindi and the local language (Marathi / Gujarati) is preferred
