Rapyuta Robotics is a ETH Zurich startup headquartered in Tokyo which operates with a vision to become the global leader in making robots more accessible. We lead the pick-assist AMR market in Japan and are backed by Goldman Sachs, Sony and Yaskawa as investors.
We are opening a global hub in Chennai, an independent center to enable our global expansion. You will help build and lead one of the Robotics System and Reliability squads that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of system reliability, rapid problem-solving, and technical support. The unit consists of DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, Robotics Software Engineers, and Fullstack Engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Robotics System and Reliability squad in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and implementing technical solutions to escalated issues
- Develop and oversee efficient incident management processes and ensure rapid resolution of issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including L1 support, development teams, and business analysts, to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
- Implement and maintain best practices and technologies in DevOps, SRE, and software engineering within the team
- Manage and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to issue resolution, customer satisfaction, and team performance
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or related field with at least 2 years of leadership experience
- Strong technical background in software development, system administration, and cloud technologies
- Ability to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, or C++
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with an ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous improvement processes
