Our Vision :In India, there are 140M+ farmers who are served by 1M+ agri-input retailers for all their agri-input needs. These retailers are the backbone of the overall value chain and primarily rely on:(A) Deep understanding of local consumption patterns(B) Strong relationships with farmers(C) Offering of short-term credit(D) Overall cost-effectivenessHowever, there are key challenges for retailers that limit their business growth :(A) Limited product selection via traditional distributors(B) Inefficient sourcing(C) Working capital pressureWe, at Agrim, are re-imagining this $50bn market. We want to transform the traditional supply chain and infuse it with technology, modern retail best practices & data science for credit underwriting.Our journey :Agrim in a fast-growing agri-tech startup building an on-demand B2B Agri-inputs marketplace. Agri-inputs is a $50bn industry spread across Seeds, Agro Chemicals, Fertilizers, Agro-Tools and Animal Feed. AGRIM has scaled up rapidly across India, with 10% of the overall customer universe already on-boarded on the platform.Our Founders are IIT/ IIM graduates and ex-entrepreneurs (with successful exits) and we have also built one of the best start-up teams, with senior executives from Tier-1 education institutes, e-commerce companies such as Amazon, Hopscotch, Policy Bazaar, etc. and experienced industry professionals from the agriculture sector.Problems at Hand :Product RecommendationPortfolio Price OptimisationNetwork and Logistics SelectionCustomer Behaviour UnderstandingSales ExcellenceVendor PerformanceRole :Solve challenging and muddy problems everaging the Fundamentals of Data Science and Analytics.You need to have hunger to bring change in the organization leveraging the power of dataExperience building and designing complex problemsDesign & execute experiments and analyze experimental resultsEnsure end to end problem solving from designing phase to execution phase and driving consumptionRequirements :Belongs to Tier-1 college/institution/university of IndiaStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements.1-4 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or a similar role involving data extraction, analysis, and problem solving.Proficiency in solving problems using First Principle Approach.1-4 years of experience in analytics space solving challenging problems.You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.A keen learner and willing to adapt to new environment.Can lead, work independently as well as play a key role in a team.
