Job Description:
Job Summary
The technical lead will be overseeing all aspects of the PeopleSoft support team. Day to day the lead will be responsible for leading development, support, troubleshooting technical issues, support schedules and will be the primary point of contact for the onshore management team and business users.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for oversight of offshore staff administration, knowledge management activities, and scheduling.
- Point of contact for escalations, Issues/conflicts and escalation of project issues and risks.
- Responsible for reviewing and validation of deliverables.
- Provide ongoing maintenance support, and lead team on the PeopleTools upgrade for the PeopleSoft HCM - Core HR (Human Resources), Pension Administration application.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues and incident tickets.
- Translate functional specification documents received from UPS into detailed technical design specifications.
- Lead team to ensure all application vulnerabilities are treated in a timely manner.
- Build customizations, perform unit testing, and document unit test results.
- Oversees team on the development of acceptance criteria related to functional and non-functional requirements, business processes, features, user stories and business rules.
- Works closely with the pension administration users, good understanding of the PeopleSoft pension function results and configurations.
- Lead and support the annual pension application failover activities.
- Plans, organizes, and suggests opportunities for improvement. Contributes to identifying and analyzing.
- Work with Oracle support on a 24x7 basis on issues and software bugs for Production P1 issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of PeopleSoft HCM experience
Skills:
- Exhibit a high-level of attention to detail, possess the ability to multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities.
- The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to maintain documentation, manuals, and produce reports for management review.
- Must demonstrate proficiency with MS Office tools such as Excel to assist with data analysis.
- Expertise in PeopleTools 8.59.x, WebLogic 14c, Tuxedo. Hands-on programming experience in a business setting.
- Proficient collaboration skills to ensure design specifications are seamlessly implemented by the development team.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and navigate organizational ambiguity.
- Programming experience with the following language(s): including COBOL, Oracle, JavaScript, Java, and File management experience.
- Familiarity with the following vendor-specific platforms: including but not limited to, List here (e.g., Azure, Windows Server platforms, RESTful APIs (Applications Programming Interface), or Linux)
- PeopleSoft Developer, PeopleSoft HRMS (Human Resource Management System) 9.2.x, Pension Administration, Fluid, Peoplecode, application package, BI (Business Intelligence) Publisher, Component Interface, SQR, SQL, Integration broker, Peopletools, Application Engine, PS Query, Integrations with 3rd Party
