Job Title - Pastry Chef & Centre Head

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Pastry Chef & Centre Head located in Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves l eading the institute, managing and leading the pastry team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pastry department, and ensuring that high-quality desserts and pastry items are prepared and served. In addition, the role requires collaborating with other departments to develop new pastry items, managing department budgets, and ensuring compliance with food regulations and standards.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pastry Chef & Centre Head with a passion for pastry and bakery arts. The ideal candidate will spearhead our institute's mission to cultivate world-class pastry chefs and bakers, drawing upon their extensive knowledge and experience in this specialized field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the institute with a visionary approach to pastry and bakery arts education.
• Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it aligns with contemporary industry standards.

Qualifications :

• Must be a professional Pastry Chef or Bakery Chef.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of Bakery and Pastry Arts.
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in Bakery and Pastry Art training and education.
• Strong leadership qualities with experience in an academic or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in pastry arts, culinary arts, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pastry chef role, with at least 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role
• Experience in a high-volume pastry operation, such as a hotel or restaurant, is preferred
• Thorough knowledge of pastry arts, techniques, and ingredients
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and demonstrate cost efficiencies
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
