Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate professor for the Department of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing, conducting research, and providing leadership and guidance to students and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching: One of the primary responsibilities of an Associate Professor in OBG is to teach medical students, residents, and fellows. This may involve developing curricula, giving lectures, supervising clinical rotations, and providing mentorship and guidance to trainees.
- Research: Associate Professors in OBG are often expected to engage in research and scholarship, either independently or as part of a team. This may involve applying for grants, conducting research studies, publishing scholarly articles, and presenting findings at conferences.
- Clinical Care: Many Associate Professors in OBG continue to provide clinical care to patients, either in a hospital or outpatient setting. This may involve performing surgeries, providing prenatal care, managing gynecological conditions, and working with patients who have complex medical needs.
- Service: Associate Professors in OBG may also be expected to provide service to their institution, profession, and community. This may involve serving on committees, participating in professional organizations, and volunteering in the community.
- Leadership: In some cases, Associate Professors in OBG may be asked to provide leadership within their department or institution. This may involve serving as a division chief, program director, or other leadership role.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in Nursing or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching and research in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing
- A strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
- A valid nursing registration
- Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation
