About this role
The Manager of Accounting will play an integral role in laying the accounting foundation for a multibillion-dollar company. You will help in building scalable and reliable accounting processes and valuable financial reporting for operational, business analytics, and planning purposes. We work with teams across the company, from data and engineering to marketing, to create efficient processes and manage spend. We are entrepreneurial in spirit and strategic in our approach to building the financials.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage our accounting daily activities and finance operations and develop plans for driving efficiency and automation.
2. Own the financials, close the process, and all associated activity to deliver accurate and timely results reporting to management.
3. Ensure consistent implementation of corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP.
4. Help build the accounting team and our financial infrastructure to support Quince throughout our high-growth journey.
5. Serve as the key point of contact with our external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
6. Develop the team's capabilities across the range of sub-functions: general ledger, tax, treasury, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, audit, and legal.
7. Understand and document reporting needs, collaborate on operational issues, develop creative solutions, and provide business guidance and insight through financial reporting.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Chartered Accountant.
2. Must have at least 2 years of working in a start-up company in a similar technical role.
3. 6-9 years of post-qualification Big 4 experience in the field of auditing and/or financial advisory practice
4. Must have U.S. GAAP implementation experience.
5. Experience with NetSuite is preferable.
6. A proven track record of building strong teams and leading/influencing others through highly cross-functional projects.
