Role : Quality Assurance EngineerJoin us as a Quality Assurance Engineer in our BT Product team at our Goa office to get the opportunity to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact in our journey of enabling retail in India.What You'll Achieve : As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality and reliability of our e-commerce technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product analysts, product managers and tech support engineers, to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, conduct thorough testing, and identify and report software defects. You will :- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly test the functionality, performance, and reliability of our e-commerce technology solutions.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements and functional specifications, ensuring testability and proper coverage.- Conduct manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, to identify software defects and ensure product quality.- Work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate, and report software defects, and verify their resolutions in a timely manner.- Participate in the design and implementation of test automation frameworks, tools, and strategies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, and provide clear and detailed bug reports to stakeholders.- Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure that quality is built into the software development process from the early stages.- Continuously improve the quality assurance process by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies.- Collaborate with the customer support team to analyse and address customer-reported issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.- Take this first step towards your dream career and an insane learning path.- Every Ginesys team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role.Essential Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.- 2 - 3 years of prior work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably in the e-commerce or SaaS industry.- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.- Experience with manual testing of web-based applications, APIs, and mobile applications.- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium is a plus.- Knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing and data validation.- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear and concise bug reports.- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with a passion for delivering high-quality software productsDesirable Requirements :Automation Testing : - Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber, can be advantageous.- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript to develop automated test scripts can improve your effectiveness and efficiency as a QA Engineer.Performance Testing : - Understanding performance testing concepts and tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling can be beneficial. - Having experience in load testing, stress testing, and identifying performance bottlenecks can help ensure the quality and scalability of applications.Benefits : We like to think that talent grows at Ginesys and stays at Ginesys.
