Job description
To undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment. Maintenance engineers ensure that industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably. You may be called out to deal with a breakdown or inspect equipment as part of a maintenance schedule
Responsibilities of this role 1.Supervise the maintenance of production and electrical equipment
2.Maintain the facilities maintenance schedule
3.Perform and supervise maintenance related repairs
4.Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure safe operation of the facility
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
5 .Ensure all equipment is properly maintained
6. Review daily work orders and provide reports
7 .Review all documentation to ensure proper data collection
8. Lead, train and supervise maintenance workers. 9. Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
10.carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
11.diagnose breakdown problems
12.fit new parts and make sure equipment is working coDrrectly
13.carry out quality inspections on jobs
14.liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
15.arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
16.control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
17.monitor and control maintenance costs
18.deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
19.improve health and safety policies and procedures
20.work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines
21.write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
22.ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Desirable Exp. :2 years or more
Type of Experience required for this role Adept at adjusting work pace to accommodate emergencies or changing client needs. Supervise electrician work on round-the-clock manufacturing unit. Provide all required electrical system technical support. Coordinate with production department on project progress. Competencies required for this role Knowledge Knowledge on Electrical circuits, Pnumatic circuits, Wiring, Labling and coding of electrical systems and circuit diagraming reading.
