Role: Senior Data Scientist (R Shiny Dashboards/Application Development) Job Location: Bangalore What do we look for? • Analytical solutioning capabilities to solve high impact business problems • Knowledge of the key business processes of fortune 500 firms in the pharmaceutical industry • Awareness of commonly • adopted data and tech landscape across business functions • Ability to develop end-to-end enterprise data-science applications • Strong technical execution capabilities, know-how of latest data and tech landscape, ability to debug / solve technical challenges and provide technology consulting and road map solutions for enterprise level implementations • Should be passionate to build a team and own up the growth, i.e., Level of ownership of an engagement • Behavioral and attitudinal skills: client and stakeholder communication management, problem breakdown and execution planning, technical thought leadership and work intent • Intent to continuously learn, knack for exploration and research, curiosity to innovate and design outof-box solutions • As a data scientist and Shiny developer, you will take a leading role in developing, implementing, and applying advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques for clinical trial analysis. You will participate in a variety of software development activities for Shiny-based data products. This will include but will not be limited to design, development, testing, and documentation, using R and Shiny along with other web application tools and technologies. Technical traits: • Proficient coding skills in R / R Shiny • Advanced skills on developing R Shiny web applications from scratch. • Added advantage if you have working knowledge on shiny apps with JavaScript, JSON, CSS themes and HTML widgets • Understanding of efficient coding standards and has a knack to plan for QC checks before coding. • Sound knowledge of the fundamentals of machine learning and statistics Desired Skills and Experience Technical: • 5+ years of professional work experience developing and deploying Shiny web applications. • Advanced programming skills in R (including experience with the Tidyverse suite of packages) • Knowledge of basic web development technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. • Proficient R debugging skills to reduce code bottle necks, optimize and refactor code base to improve efficiency, clean shiny reactivity and reduce overall memory usage. • Be a champion R Shiny consultant to guide, discuss and implement best web development features to R Shiny applications. • Proficiency in Python programming. • Experience with SQL and data retrieval. Soft Skills: • Thinking out of the box implementation solutions. • Resourcefulness in solving problems and developing solutions. • Quick Learning and Implementation attitude. • Ability to take ownership of a technical challenge and see it through to a successful conclusion. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment as well as the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. • Tremendous passion towards learning is a must. You must be able to merge the art of consulting and the science of Design in visualization. • Drive and energy to work hard and achieve success in an entrepreneurial environment.
