Job Description Main responsibilities : Maintain training materials (presentations, training handouts, agendas, plans etc) and ensure it is available for the wider Rotork training community (defined part time trainers). Develop curriculums for training specific job roles. Prepare for and deliver appropriate and targeted training programmes for all Rotork products (new, existing, legacy) and their application - including Valve types, their applications, valve conversion/retrofit training. Provide Technical Training for Rotork personnel in all roles; for example, sales, service, engineering, new starters etc. Liaise effectively with internal Rotork teams to assess training requirements for bespoke or ad-hoc training. Provide targeted training for third parties - customer / channel partners etc. Provide technical solutions to queries raised within training sessions. Travel for training, in country and overseas. Prepare and maintain hardware for "hands on" training, at defined training site or for off-site training. Look after defined training room (Chennai), ensure appropriate equipment and facilities are always available for effective training. If required, represent the training and service view during product evaluation, new Product development (NPI/NPD) and Product improvement (PIE) processes. Maintain Rotork product awareness and market awareness – including training methods, competitor products, new technology, standards and specifications etc, which may affect training. Maintain knowledge of current practises on site and within Rotork companies. As appropriate assist the companies HSE representatives in the development of safety training related to product. If required, provide an on-site service to assess Technical ability and safety awareness, where local teams are unable to perform this function. Where requested as part of NPI, produce and maintain workshop maintenance manuals for new and existing equipment. Prepare quotations and invoices for customer training. Maintaining databases for all training carried out (internal and third party) and certificates. Utilise the learning@rotork system for managing training event registration. Support and develop general technical support documentation for inclusion into the Rotork Knowledge base. To be responsible for own Health and Safety. Any other team duties that may arise. Site Experience in a service environment within the Petrochemical, Water treatment and Power industries, experience of working in hazardous areas. Full Driving licence / International Passport. An understanding of site safety procedures. Language skills: English, Hindi and Tamil. Qualifications HND / HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering, preferably electrical, electronic or mechatronics. Good IT skills, specifically knowledge of Microsoft apps and Rotork IT systems. Prepared to travel, sometimes at short notice, both within country and overseas. Experience in Engineering, Service and Sales. Additional Information Technical Actuator product knowledge allied with a good understanding and appreciation of their application. Electric and/or Fluid power actuators. Valve types, their performance and sizing characteristics. User control systems, common process operations. SIL (Safety Integrity Level). Fluid mechanics and operational restrictions and requirements. Gears’ products and specifically their combination with electric actuators. Instrument products and application, especially in combination with fluid power products. Rotorks Pakscan and Master Station systems. Open network protocols, their performance, benefits, features, comparisons with each other, how to use the tools for the networks and how to troubleshoot is an advantageJob tags
