Job description
PROJECT HSE HEAD
Be a part of Nation building project. Looking for Project HSE Head role at India's first Semiconductor business built by Tata Projects with American client near Ahmedabad.
Overall:
• Responsible for maintaining compliance, reducing risk, and driving EHS excellence in
construction/project management.
• Reports to Project Director and Business/Corp Head-EHS.
• Leads a team of 150+ EHS professionals.
• Have experience of working with MNC Client.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (Gujarat) and OSHA standards.
• Develop and implement a robust EHS governance and audit framework.
• Lead HSE management system, incident investigation, training, and awareness programs.
• Monitor workplace safety, promote risk mitigation, and liaise with local authorities.
• Develop and manage waste management plans.
• Conduct EHS audits and analyze findings to improve compliance.
• Develop countermeasures for identified deviations.
• Serve as a coach and mentor for Site EHS teams.
Qualifications :
• Engineering degree + Postgraduate Diploma/M-Tech in Industrial Safety.
• 15-20 years of EHS experience in project management and construction safety.
• Experience with US and Indian EHS frameworks, governance programs, and regulatory
requirements.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
Desired Characteristics :
• EHS compliance and/or digital tool management experience.
• Ability to work in a factory environment, motivate teams, and promote EHS culture.
• Skilful in coaching, training, and influencing stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver presentations.
• High energy, self-starter, and strong relationship-building skills.
