What You'll Do:

As a Manager – Procurement, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving Procurement. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

In this role, you will develop & execute mid to long term purchase strategy for direct procurement thus ensuring best, quality, price and timing.

What We're Looking For:

• Understand the current and anticipated demand [Rolling forecast, Annual Plan & 5-year Trajectory] and develop sourcing plans to ensure efficient procurement & supply reliability. 
• Analyze, guide and present overall trends of purchases.  
• Explore & implement new processes to improve efficiency & effectiveness of procurement function.
• Lead the RFP process for assigned spend categories.
• Negotiate price & terms of purchases with the vendors based on the market insight & offered quotes. Analyze and compare final quotes, prepare proposals for management approval and then award the contract to the appropriate vendor. 
• Responsible for the related logistics [Hire & ensure services of C&F & surveyor agents] contracts.
• Select, and manage ongoing relationships with suppliers, vendors, contractors to ensure that the organization receives satisfactory service.
• Responsible for addressing complaints (Direct Procurement) between supplier and LZAI.
• Create avenues for cost control with a focus on process re-engineering.
• Support initiatives to provide additional value for Working Capital (Cash Flow)
• Develop alternate vendors for BCP (business continuity) and cost control. Work with Technology teams for alternate vendor approval.
• Coordinate with regional and global Category Manager to align and implement sourcing strategy. 
• Effectively use all technology tools available – eSourcing, spend analytics etc.

Skills That Make a Difference:

• Chemical Engineering/Chemistry Graduate Degree or equivalent
• 8 to 10 years’ experience in chemical / specialty chemical procurement
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, SAP and/or Ariba knowledge is a plus
