Job description
Role Summary :As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server environments.Additionally, knowledge of PostgreSQL databases will be advantageous. You will play a key role in fine-tuning our databases to eliminate performance bottlenecks, writing efficient stored procedures, and ensuring best practices in database performance, security, and backup procedures.Key Responsibilities :- Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.- Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in SQL Server databases.- Design and implement efficient stored procedures to enhance database performance.- Ensure that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.- Demonstrate a strong understanding of PostgreSQL databases, including maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.- Collaborate with development teams to advise on database operations, security concerns, and efficient data retrieval.- Knowledge of .NET Core (C#) development environment is a plus, providing insight into application integration and database management.Required Skills & Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server environments.- Experience with PostgreSQL databases.- Expertise in database performance tuning, backup, and recovery procedures.- Familiarity with .NET Core (C#) is considered an advantage.- Strong understanding of SQL, including the ability to write efficient stored procedures and queries.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
