Job description
- Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
- Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
- Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.
Specific accountabilities:
Business requirements
- Execute design work consistent with design and brand standards, functional and technical environment, business requirements and customer needs
UX Design
- Study, develop and prototype the user experience concepts of a product in a user- centered design process
- Work closely with User Experience Researchers to make recommendations and propose improvements
- Work closely with development teams to ensure a high quality implementation of design artefacts
- Work closely with product managers to iteratively specify and refine the scope of a delivery
1st speciality: Information Architecture Interaction Design
- Study recommend
- Analyze user business processes and workflows.
- Work with UX Researchers to observe and analyze user studies and to raise design topics that need user research investigation.
- Obtain input from UX Researchers, subject matter experts to determine content and produce a framework for the product design.
- Study data from web analytics, heuristic evaluations, and UX Research results, to make recommendations and propose improvements.
- Create information architecture diagrams, sketches, storyboards, wireframes and screen flows, which support the strategic vision and business objectives.
- Create proofs of concept to explore design ideas, support usability testing and obtain buy-in.
- Deliver appropriate level of specification needed to ensure high quality development on time.
- Participate to workshops with internal and external stakeholders to grasp requirements, present UX concepts and iterate on the solutions.
- Develop prototypes ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes.
- Work with Web Designers to refine the interactive experience and produce designs consistent with the brand.
2nd speciality: Web Design (or: Visual Design)
- Work closely with all UX design related positions to rely on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals.
- Focus on the aesthetics of a user interface and any related materials by strategically implementing typography, layout, color, graphics, visual effects, imagery, texture, mood, taking into account UX principles, emotional design principles, style guidelines and the technical constraints of development teams.
- Find graphical solutions to express ideas and metaphors and define visual environment of new products.
- Create a consistent look and feel across all products and communicate effectively to present ideas and designs.
- Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
- Build visual guidelines and design style guide to define UI components and support the graphical consistency of a product or set of products.
- Create prototypes, interactive mock-ups, and proofs of concept to explore design ideas, support usability testing and obtain buy-in, by using interaction design tools as well as front-end development frameworks.
- Work closely with the Information Architects and Interaction Designers to ensure that the mock-ups and prototypes reflect the architecture and interaction principles.
