Job Role: Research Engineer - 1, 2 & 3
We are looking for a Research Engineer to join us at Avataar, where we are re-imagining product discovery for shopping/commerce with the power of spatial depth. We are making advances in Neural Rendering, Computer Graphics, Generative models and the web to empower the next generation of visual storytelling.
We recently announced our $45mm Series-B from top-tier global investors including Tiger Global and Sequoia Capital.
What will you work on:
As a Research Engineer, you will be working alongside researchers on state of the art research on generative models, deep learning, and neural rendering, and making them practical for real world applications.
What we look for:
- 3+ years of relevant engineering or research experience in Computer Vision/Computer Graphics/Machine Learning.
- Ability to research, quickly prototype, and efficiently implement new algorithms.
- Proficiency in coding with Python, C++ and experience with popular deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/Jax).
- One or more publications in Tier 1 Computer Vision/Machine Learning/Computer Graphics conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, TPAMI, SIGGRAPH etc.).
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with focus on artificial intelligence or equivalent industrial research experience. In exceptional cases, we consider Bachelor's graduates also.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
