Position- Linux Administrator
Exp- 10 Years
Location- Remote
Notice Period- Immediate to 15 days
Note: One Project should be done in SAP. Person needs SAP environment experience.
Job Responsibilities The Linux System Administrator will be responsible for:
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining Linux operating systems and servers.
- Implementing, managing, and maintaining AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and VPC.
- Implementing and maintaining system security, including AWS security groups, network ACLs, and IAM policies.
- Ensuring optimal performance and stability of servers and network services.
- Managing server resources, ensuring high uptime, and making necessary adjustments.
- Implementing and maintaining system security, including firewalls, permissions, users, and groups.
- Configuring and managing network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and FTP.
- Performing regular data backups and system updates to ensure data integrity and system security.
- Writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce human error, utilizing AWS Lambda or other appropriate services.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system, network, and server issues.
- Documenting system configurations, updates, processes, and known issues for future reference.
- Collaborating with IT staff and providing support to other employees as needed.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably in an AWS environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system and server hardware and software.
- Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.).
- Strong understanding of AWS services and infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery, particularly in AWS.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred - Professional certification (such as RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) is a plus.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
