Role And Responsibilities As an L2 Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our storage infrastructure to ensure data availability, integrity, and performance. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining storage arrays and systems
- Managing storage capacity and planning for future storage needs
- Allocating and managing storage resources for various applications and departments
- Implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions
- Diagnosing and resolving storage-related issues
- Optimizing storage performance
- Implementing and maintaining storage security measures
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of storage configurations and procedures
- Assisting in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans and strategies
- Liaising with storage vendors for support, maintenance, and hardware/software upgrades
Candidate Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Storage Administrator or similar role
- Proficiency in storage technologies, including SAN and NAS
- Familiarity with storage protocols and standards (e.g., iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel)
- Experience with storage management tools and software (e.g., EMC, NetApp, HP)
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EMC Storage Administrator, NetApp Certified Data Administrator) are a plus
