Job description

What you will be doing:
- Participate in project and development meetings
- Ensure the quality of testing for all delivered developments and upgrades
- Liaise closely with all relevant parties to fully understand the functionality to be tested
- Provide accurate estimates for all work as required
- Define test cases and prepare test scripts, to improve coverage and minimise execution time
- Complete test scripts/packages and ensure test results are accurately recorded
- Provide sufficient detail to development to facilitate the optimal resolution of bugs and provide any further assistance required
- Ensure all aspects of work meet expectations and company quality standards
- Ensure a good level of teamwork, highlighting issues in good time and proactively suggesting solutions to resolve problems
- Effective prioritization and meeting of deadlines
- Input into the improvement of existing testing methods that will increase quality and reduce cost
- Champion and encourage consistency to agreed testing methods What we are looking for: Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Core Competencies
- Demonstrable experience in professional testing, ideally e-Commerce and/or Travel related
- Experience in testing front-end transactional websites including responsive/mobile testing
- Experience in testing CMS or back-office applications is desirable
- Minimum ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
- Experience with a range of testing methodologies and processes (Agile/Waterfall – Functional/Non functional)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to coordinate across multiple applications and test teams
- Good attention to detail to capture inaccuracies and inconsistencies
- Excellent knowledge of the development life cycle
- Experience in defect raising, tracking, management, and retesting using a recognized tool
