Global Analytics – Actuarial – Data Scientist position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager with expertise in Actuarial domain, General Insurance, Analytics, Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Pricing experience. This role requires strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of professionals, and the ability to oversee and deliver various analytical projects within the organization.

Responsibilities:

o Lead and manage a team of professionals, ensuring they are motivated, organized, and working effectively to achieve project goals. o Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, assisting in their professional growth and development. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuaries, data scientists, and business analysts to identify key business requirements, challenges, and opportunities. o Utilize expertise in actuarial domain and general insurance to contribute to the development and improvement of pricing models, underwriting processes, and risk assessments. o Analyse large data sets using advanced analytics, ML, DL, and NLP techniques to extract actionable insights and recommendations for business decision-making processes. o Develop and implement innovative pricing strategies, models, and methodologies to optimize profitability and maintain a competitive edge in the market. o Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs as necessary to enhance team productivity and performance. o Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in actuarial science, insurance analytics, and pricing strategies, and ensure their incorporation into organizational practices. o Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define strategic objectives, assess risks, and make informed business recommendations. o Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including but not limited to risk management practices, model governance, and data protection.

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Insurance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Actuarial credentials) will be a plus. o Proven experience in managing teams and leading successful projects in the actuarial domain, preferably within the general insurance industry. o Strong knowledge of actuarial concepts, pricing methodologies, and insurance products and services. o Demonstrated expertise in applying analytical techniques, ML, DL, and NLP algorithms in an insurance or related context. o Proficient in analytical languages and tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, etc. o Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate team members. o Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. o Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. o Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management practices within the insurance industry. o Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing best practices.
