Job Overview
Senior Accountant position available at GOOD FIVE YES JOB CONSULTANCY in Ambattur, Chennai. This is a full-time role with a requirement of 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial statements, auditing, budgeting, and forecasting. Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification required.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.

- Leadership abilities with experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with GAAP.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations.
- Conduct audits to verify financial information and identify any discrepancies.
- Provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and budget VS actual analysis.
- Collaborate with management to develop financial forecasts and budgets.
- Monitor and document financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
- Maintain knowledge of current accounting regulations and changes in GAAP.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
