Work you’ll do As a part of our Risk Advisory team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Proofpoint Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. As a Proofpoint Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, designing, and maintaining our Proofpoint email security solutions to protect our organization's email communications from threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in email security, cyber threat analysis, and network architecture. The key skills required are as follows: Key Responsibilities: · Proofpoint Configuration: o Configure and fine-tune Proofpoint Email Security Gateway to optimize email filtering and threat detection. o Design and implement Proofpoint policies and rules to protect against spam, phishing, malware, and other email threats. · Email Security Design: o Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to design and implement email security solutions using Proofpoint. o Assess the current email security architecture and recommend enhancements to bolster protection. · Threat Analysis and Mitigation: o Monitor email traffic for signs of malicious activity and potential security incidents. o Investigate and respond to email security incidents, including the identification and mitigation of advanced threats. · Integration: o Integrate Proofpoint with other security tools and systems, such as SIEM and identity management solutions, for a holistic security approach. o Ensure seamless integration with the organization's email infrastructure. · Policy Development: o Develop and maintain email security policies, procedures, and best practices. o Enforce email security policies related to data loss prevention (DLP) and encryption. · Reporting and Alerting: o Configure email security alerts and notifications for timely response to security incidents. o Generate and analyze reports on email security trends and threat landscapes. · Troubleshooting and Support: o Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Proofpoint-related issues. o Collaborate with the support team to resolve escalated incidents promptly. · Documentation: o Maintain comprehensive documentation of Proofpoint configurations, design decisions, and incident response procedures. o Keep documentation up to date with any changes. · Training and Knowledge Sharing: o Train other team members and end-users on email security best practices and Proofpoint usage. o Stay current with the latest email security threats and share knowledge within the team. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in configuring and designing Proofpoint email security solutions. Strong knowledge of email security principles, anti-phishing techniques, and email threat landscape. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., Proofpoint Certified Administrator) are a plus. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation is desirable. · As a Proofpoint Engineer specializing in configuration and design, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's email communications against evolving threats.
