Job description
OVERVIEW This role reports to the DevOps Engineering Team Lead as well as the Director of Application Development. DevOps Engineers (DevOps) at TransPerfect are passionate about deployment, automation, monitoring and management of cloud based systems.
DESCRIPTION · System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various products and application components · Manage and monitor the monitoring and the reliability tools · Provision critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions · Work with Development team to develop the strategy to deploy the applications in dev, stage and production environments, and build the CI/CD pipeline · Build the application containers · Work with the solutions engineering team to troubleshoot the production issues, resolve and improve the environment · Participate in sprint planning and daily scrum calls with the DevOps teams · Build the release deliverables for patch, minor and major releases · Collaborate with the solutions engineering team to schedule new release upgrades · Write architecture document about application infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment plans · Work with the Director of application to evaluate new technology products and services · Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor REQUIRED SKILLS · Very Strong analytical background, and excellent communication · IT operations support Ubuntu, Centos, Amazon Linux · Experience in CI/CD using Jenkins, Gitlab · Experience in automating infrastructure as code using Terraform · Configuration management using Ansible,Chef, Puppet · Containerization using Kubernetes, AWS ECS, AWS ECR, AWS EKS · Over 3+ experience in provisioning operations and management of AWS · Agile process and scrum framework · Work experience distributed teams with different background and culture · Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills · Good written and spoken communication skills in English · Strong work ethic REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS · Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in computer science from a 4-year college and 3 years’ experience in DevOps engineering DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE · Deep understating of cloud hosting, AWS, REST, JSON, IIS , Tomcat, Web application development · Deep understanding of RDS, AD, MSSQL, MYSQL · Experience in SSO solutions · Advanced scripting experience in shell scripts and Python · Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment work with multiple team across time zones · Work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures · Build relationships with clients and co-workers · Can work independently and as part of a team · Take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service If you are interested please share your resume at [email protected]Job tags
