Job description
Responsibilities: Develops a purchasing strategy. Manage the entire supply chain for the company, that includes RM Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and other vendors. Build strong and excellent relationship with the supplier/vendor base Ensure on time turn around /Order to Delivery of parts from suppliers. Negotiate with the vendor base for the best possible prices. Prepare and execute long term contracts with Vendors. Negotiate with suppliers for the best possible payment terms. Assess Supplier Performance and maintain relevant scorecard. Identify and develop new suppliers. Ensure Supplier quality, maintain and monitor metrics. Prepare MIS for management monthly on progress. Drive continuous improvement in the supplier base. Stay current with purchasing technology trends and overseas purchase and implementation as necessary.
Desired Candidate: BE - Mechanical / Aeronautical ; MBA – SCM / General Management 8 – 12 years total experience in Supply Chain Management related to commodity (sheet metal, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbon steels) Hands on experience in sourcing sheet metal fabrication / machining experience. Knowledge on Surface treatment, welding, stamping, casting, forging Aeronautical background will be an added advantage, automotive can also be considered. Strong people management & team player skills Good ability to form and nurture relationships with stakeholders. Special process (heat treatment/Surface treatment etc.) exp. a must Excellent Written and Oral English Communication skills Strong MS Office Skills Knowledge of SAPJob tags
