What's exciting about the role
As the Head of Indirect Sales , you will oversee and direct the sales activity of the Indirect Sales team within the North American region with a focus on the Distribution, Value Added Reseller, Solution as a Service, and ISV networks.
Main responsibilities:
- Define the strategic direction of the business, establish effective communications with executives and managers to ensure awareness and sensitivity to sales needs
- Assign account responsibility and financial objectives to managers and sales representatives and drive important negotiations with key customers and partners
- Manage critical partnerships with a focus on driving the execution of joint initiatives and product launches benefiting Verifone customers
- Ensure best-in-class, methodical partner and deal management rooted in milestone management, KPIs and alignment on opportunities of mutual interest
- Meet/exceed financial objectives set for the business unit
- Ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting and financial reporting
- Establish and maintain top-to-top relationships with strategic partners
- Defining and/or reinforce supporting sales processes
- Coordinating with other functional management on business strategy and decisions
- Defining territory assignments and quota responsibility
- Managing sales support functions
- Inputting to pricing decisions
- Communicating corporate direction and objectives to staff
- Defines staffing levels and identify talented candidates for potential hire
- Managing performance through setting objectives, providing performance feedback/coaching and evaluation
- Motivates employees to over-achieve and correct performance problems
- Develops staff skills and abilities to meet business needs
- Actively supports company programs and ensure adherence to company rules and procedures
- Administering compensation actions within company guidelines
- Manage multiple stakeholders with varying priorities and drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal
- Bring an operationally focused mindset, with an ability to lead teams through complex relationship management activities by setting a clear vision, and running tight processes
- Explore new business opportunities and revenue streams through strategic partnerships and alliances
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, engineering, marketing) to ensure seamless integration of Verifone solutions into partner platforms
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for ISV partnerships, measuring the impact on revenue, customer acquisition, and product adoption
- Provide regular reports and updates to internal stakeholders on partnership progress and results
- Responsible for maintaining short range and long-term plans for developing sales in business unit, these plans should include an annual business plan
- Responsible for uncovering new business opportunities, developing and keeping up to date an adequate pipeline of potential sales to meet business unit sales expectations
- Responsible for maintaining daily organized account records, including account profiles, using Salesforce.com
Skills and Experience we desire
- 10 years product sales experience, 5 years management experience.
- Bachelor's level degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred

- The salary range for this position which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation on an annualized basis
- The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, and credentials
