Job Title: Data Lead
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Lead to take a leadership role in shaping and executing our data strategy. As a Data Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end data lifecycle, with a specific focus on leveraging Databricks for efficient data processing and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements and objectives.
- Design and implement data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark to process and analyze large datasets.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Optimize and troubleshoot data processing workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into business applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Databricks and Spark technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Developer with a focus on Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Scala and/or Python.
- In-depth understanding of big data concepts and distributed computing.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
