What is the Sr. Analyst - Inv Performance & Risk responsible for?
- The Sr. Analyst, Investment Performance and Risk will work with risk managers and investment management across the multi-asset space to develop quantitative analysis and processes to measure investment risk to better manage portfolios. Additionally, the Sr. Analyst, Investment Performance and Risk will provide data and support to marketing teams. Responsibilities will include operations, data validation, report design and analysis. Good quantitative skills and communication skills are required, as are good people skills. The ideal candidate will also be expected to assist in guiding and developing more junior team members.
- Ensures compliance with GRD policies, procedures, and internal controls.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Sr. Analyst - Inv Performance & Risk responsible for?
- Prepare reports from various risk and attribution systems and provide insights to risk analysts and risk consultants.
- Perform data validation, exception processing and security modeling to improve data coverage and to ensure accuracy.
- Create and run database queries, design report templates and provide user support.
- Stay current with risk analytic tools.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline, MBA or Master of Financial Engineering preferred. Superior quantitative skills required. The candidate should be familiar with statistical theory and have a good understanding of financial instruments and markets.
- Progress toward or completion of CFA, FRM or CIPM preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Factset and BarraOne preferred.
- Good working knowledge of attribution, performance and risk.
- Proficiency with Python/VBA advantageous, as is evidence of experience with data related projects.
Experience:
- 4 -10 years relevant work experience in the Financial Services Industry generally, preferably some with investment risk management, investment performance or fund accounting experience.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Assist supervisor with oversight of a functional group. Perform many supervisory type responsibilities, exclusive of any disciplinary, promotion and/or termination decisions.
- Coordinate duties of departmental staff.
Desired Leadership Skills:
- Effective interpersonal and people-management skills.
- Ability to motivate assigned staff, hold them accountable, organize workflow, and manage change.
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
