Job description
Job Responsibilities: 1. Product Design & Development experience in Body in White (BIW) / Cabin in White (CIW) 2. Responsible for Design of BIW / CIW & structural components (e.g. Roof Panel, Floor Panel, Door Panels / Body Side Panel / Upper body / Underbody Panels, Reinforcement structures) 3. Responsible for Product life cycle management of Component & system level designs. - Concept to SoP - Ensure designs based on regulatory & customer requirement - Ensure design as per strength targets - Ensure DFM, DFA & DFS - Data & Release Management, ECN releases 4. UG NX modelling within a product development environment. 5. Customer interfacing & interaction to manage 6. Excellent verbal & non-verbal communication . 7. Work as a team player to meet team, department & organizational objectives
Skills & Knowledge: 1. UG NX Part, Surface modeling, UG NX Sheet Metal, CAE knowhow 2. Knowledge on Body in White (BIW) / Cabin in White (CIW) - OEM experience is an added advantage (Commercial Vehicles Segment). 3. Experience working with Monocoque & Frame Mounted body structures. Knowhow of Space frames would be an added advantage 4. Sheet Metal processing/manufacturing knowledge, tooling background is preferred. 5. Aluminum parts processing/ manufacturing knowledge, tooling background is preferred. 6. Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Design for Servicing, Tolerance Stack up analysis. 7. Strong knowledge on Engineering Change Management process. 8. Exposure to PLM tools. Siemens Teamcenter PLM knowledge is an added advantage. 9. Knowledge on Truck homologation requirements. 10. Cost management knowledge. 11. Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R. 12. Ability to work with cross functional teams. 13. Independent & self-drivenJob tags
