Position Engineering Senior Technical Leader
General
We are looking for an experienced Engineer Manager who will be responsible to manage and lead the local team, manage all technical aspects of the companys projects throughout the various engineering disciplines like but not limited to: System engineering, mechanical engineering, Aerodynamics engineering SW engineering etc. (for the avoidance of any doubt, the manager should have knowledge to lead and manage engineers working under him in these various disciplines).
This manager will communicate with the customer, customers technical leaders as well as the Elbit engineering departments and senior management of the company.
The Engineer Manager will report to CEO as well as indirectly with Elbit Engineering directors who are leading the technical aspects of the projects. Project may be for India MOD or for global customers.
Responsibilities:
Manage the engineering team (5-25 engineers from various disciplines) to ensure team work and good working environment
Lead all design and development activities of the local team
Manage the development working plans, resources and constraints
Manage the budget allocated for the engineering team for the various projects
Support the transfer to production processes to ensure Quality and Timely deliverables
Support the SCM and Project managers in all technical aspects and documents for work outsourced to vendors
Drive improvement based on employee feedback and lessons learnt
Requirements:
Hard skills
Minimum of 10 years experience in Engineering management Building complex working plans and resources management
Must be from Defense /Aerospace Manufactuirng Company
BSC. Degree in Engineering (System Engineering, mechanical, Aero-dynamics)
Strong MS Office skills, and other Engineering tools
Soft skills
Great communication skills and experience working with customers
Team management and leadership skills
Risk assessment and decision-making under uncertainty and pressure
Assertive, resilient and highly organized
Independent and Dedicated with result driven approach
Advantages
MSc. Degree in Engineering or business management
Previous 5 - 10 years experience in Development of Airborne systems and\or Defense industry
Previous employment in a global company reporting\doted to overseas peers
O\GM of a Defense company
