Founded in 1996, FlexTrade Systems is the global leader in broker-neutral algorithmic trading platforms and execution systems in equities, foreign exchange and listed derivatives. FlexTrade introduced the first trading system that allowed clients to control and customize their propriety algorithms. FlexTrade allowed them to maintain the confidentiality of their trading strategies through a vendor-provided, broker-neutral platform. We now have a varied product suite that includes new trading systems, risk-management and analytical tools. Our client base includes over 175 buy- and sell-side firms, including many of the largest investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, commodity trading advisors and institutional brokers.
The Team
The Spark team is building a cloud-based EMS platform () that aims to shake up and disrupt the industry. We work in a modern, agile way focusing on lightweight processes and rapid feedback backed by a strong DevOps culture. We’re a fast-paced, yet relaxed team who deploy new features to production at least 1-2 times per week. We operate as a multi-functional delivery team, meaning we have everyone we need to deliver the product sitting together – Dev, QA, Ops, Support, Client Relationships and Sales. This reduces friction and allows us to deliver at pace. Our product is new to the market, so we are still primarily working on new features to make sure we are the best choice for clients. All this gives us a startup feel to the team but as part of a wider company, avoiding the usual pressures startups feel. Whilst we do support the product as a team, our rapid delivery means that our live environment is very stable, so this takes very little effort.
What will you be doing:
We are looking for an amazing developer to join our team building a desktop trading system. It is one of our newest products and is an exciting team to work on. You will be a key part of this agile team and will be fully involved in the entire development process.
You will have a passion for software development, from coding to CI/CD to the team processes needed to get things done. You will be excited by modern technology choices, not necessarily because you need them now but because you simply love learning about them. You will have a strong delivery focus, understanding the value of the work you do and how much time and effort should be spent on it. Overall, whilst you have a great love of development, what you enjoy more is getting working software into the hands of people who want it.
