Job Description :- Knowledge of the principals, practices and techniques of database design and development, database structures and theories and current database technologies.- Knowledge of the construction, function, and creation of database systems for epidemiology surveillance purposes.- Knowledge of the principles and methods of epidemiology, especially disease risk measures for monitoring public health.- Knowledge of enterprise-wide IT systems design, implementation techniques, and structured management techniques- Skill in designing, writing, and maintaining database architecture.- Skill in proactively monitoring the database environment and making changes to data structures, SQL, application logic or the DBMS subsystem to optimize performance.- Skill in using Microsoft SQL Server- Skill in database administration, management, data imports and exports and developing reports- Skill in predicting capacity requirements based on application and data usage patterns and implementing the necessary database changes to accommodate the growth- Ability to translate a data model or logical database design into an actual physical database implementation and to manage that database once it has been implemented.- Ability to perform database performance tuning- Ability to create an efficient physical database design from a logical data model and application specifications- Ability to manage database security, integrity, and backup procedures- Ability to provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems- Ability to provide excellent customer service and public relations outreach (ref:hirist.tech)
