About the Role
We are looking for a People (HR) Director to lead our HR Function and drive our people strategy. As a People (HR) Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and practices that align with our business goals and support our growth. You will also oversee all aspects of human resources management, such as talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organizational culture
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall mission, values, business goals and objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing HR function that delivers excellent service to all employees and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic counsel to the executive team on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring the company attracts and hires top-tier talent.
- Develop and implement effective end-to-end talent management and succession planning strategies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Develop and manage competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programmes that attract, motivate, and retain talent.
- Regularly review and update the compensation structure based on market trends and internal equity considerations.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
- Build a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging by implementing initiatives that enhance the representation and participation of diverse groups and perspectives.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives and programmes to enhance morale and team cohesion.
Performance Management:
- Design and implement performance management and feedback processes and systems that drive employee productivity, employee development and overall business success.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
Learning and Development:
- Identify training needs and collaborate with leadership to develop and deliver relevant learning programmes.
- Foster a culture of learning, professional development and innovation by creating and facilitating learning and development opportunities for all employees.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant labour laws and industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to human resources and employment.
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics and trends and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the leadership team and the board
- Mitigate risks by staying informed about changes in employment legislation.
Employee Relations:
- Address employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Mediate conflicts and collaborate with leaders to resolve issues.
Candidate Specifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration from reputed institutes and relevant HR certifications preferred.
- 15-20 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the banking, technology, startup sector
- Demonstrated experience dealing with diverse teams, it's a global position based out of India
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
- Proven track record of leading and managing HR functions and teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in the use of HRIS and other HR technologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and partner with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
